An Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the technical coordination of conferences and events as well as handling daily operational activities related to the setup, teardown, and execution of live events. This position is responsible for setup and operation of complex audio visual systems needed for events and delivering exceptional service to clients while cultivating and upholding relationships with all stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prep/load/unload/setup/operate/teardown equipment for all scheduled events.
- Follows and acts in accordance with all company rules and policies regarding general operation of the business, including but not limited to working hours, sales and promotion policies, safety procedures and specific company rules and codes of conduct.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the overall business relationship with our clients and partners by providing exceptional customer service, information, support, and guidance.
- Communicates changes, additions, issues to management to resolve challenges in a timely manner and ensure proper invoicing to our clients.
- Makes recommendations for customers by managing and interpreting their event requirements per written or verbal specifications.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during events and implement solutions to allow events to proceed with minimal interruption.
Required Background, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred 1+ years of audio visual experience.
- A college degree is preferred, but a balance of audio visual skills and experience will be considered.
- Prior experience in audiovisual, technology, or hospitality management preferred.
- Read & understand audio visual specifications.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, WebEx, Skype, and other web based conferencing solutions as well as an ability to perform basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written formats.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical aptitude for equipment and service-related issues.
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: Hourly or Salary starting at $16/hour and up DOE
