Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated gardener to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our gardens and landscapes. If you have a passion for plants and enjoy working outdoors, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Perform various gardening tasks, primarily weeding, pruning, deadheading & flowerpot plantings
Operate and maintain hand tools and equipment
Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases
Keep records of gardening activities and inventory of supplies

Qualifications

At least 1 full season experience in professional gardening
Plant Identification - must be able to positively identify the difference between a weed and a perennial
Fine Pruning - proper pruning practices of common landscape shrubs and small trees
Organic and ecological gardening methods and techniques a plus
Knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements
Proficient in using hand tools commonly used in gardening
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $16.25 - $27.00 per hour

Tidy Gardens is a small organic gardening business out of East Braintree, MA serving clients in Hingham, MA and surrounding towns. Our focus is primarily on weeding, deadheading, fine pruning and seasonal flowerpot arrangements for the 2024 season.
