PRM Grounds Maintenance Worker

The Charter Township of Shelby Parks, Recreation, & Maintenance Department are now accepting applications for a Part-Time/Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Person. Interested applicants must be available to work approximately 30-40 hours a week, Monday - Sunday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m, during the summer. The hourly wage for this position ranges from $15.84 per hour, no benefits. Applicants must be over the age of 18 or older and have a valid driver's license to operate Township vehicles and equipment. You must upload a copy of your driver's license with your application. Some of the job duties associated with this classification would include, but would not be limited to:

• Open parks; check/empty trash cans, check restrooms for cleanliness or problems, rake playground areas, etc.
• Preparation of ball fields; rake, drag fields with groomer, chalk lines, change bases
• Mow and whip turf
• Weed/mulch landscape beds
• Shovel snow, salt sidewalks
• Trim walk/hiking/biking trails of brush
• Plow sidewalks and parks
• Paint
• Pick up and deliver parts and supplies
• Plant flowers and shrubs
• Assist full time employees with various projects
