Mechanical Designer - Piping

Piping Design Engineers deal with the piping routing design of the entire plant. They utilize various design software such as SP3D, PDMS, CADWORX, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, PDS, Microstation, E3D, etc. They use their knowledge to define the most suitable economic pipe routing, type of fittings, space requirement, and various parameters in the design. A major part of their job involves coordination with other departments and the resolution of conflicts as and when they occur.

Knowledge of process piping design (B31.3)
Experience with Autodesk suite of applications (Plant 3D, Vault, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, etc) a plus.

• Conceptual design
• Develop equipment arrangement plans and details for new and retrofit plant processes
• Design process and utility piping systems and supports
• Design material handling systems
• Use ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping in performing design
• Coordination of design with internal project team and external clients
• 3D modeling and developing Orthographic and Isometric drawings
• Designing piping systems and creating drawings using Microstation, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Plant 3D software
• Work with Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Work with lead engineers to maintain and develop the company's quality standards
