Job Description

We are seeking an EMT Emergency Medical Technician to join our team! ERSSD staffs EMTs and RNs for large-and-small scale special events around San Diego.

Resonsibilities:

Respond to all calls you are dispatched to at special events
Understand how to adapt to ever changing venues (size of venue, locations, types of events)
Know all EMT-B San Diego County Protocols
Administer prescribed first-aid treatment at site of emergency or relocate patient to designated medical tent areas. Or utilize onsite ALS or BLS
Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with dispatcher, or POC at events
Manage all medical equipment appropriately, and capabilities of proper paperwork
Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish acuity of patient
Communicate with medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an EMT, paramedic. Preferably with event medicine experience
Knowledge of CPR procedures
Knowledge of San Diego County MCI procedures
Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Weekend avalability
