• Position: Technical Pet Fashion Design Intern
• Duration: 3 month Educational Internship - Paid Hire
• Location: Remote-Flex (Must Live in Los Angeles), 3x week in DTLA office
• Hours: 15-20 hours per week

Role Overview As a Technical Designer Intern at LA Pet Apparel, you will join our design team to assist in creating innovative and functional apparel for pets, specifically dogs. You will work closely with our design and production teams to develop detailed technical sketches and specifications for our pet apparel products.

Projects

• Develop detailed technical sketches and specifications for new and current pet apparel designs.
• Assist in the development of prototypes and samples for pet apparel, ensuring they meet design and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Assist in creating technical sketches and specifications for pet apparel designs, focusing on functionality, comfort, and style.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure pet apparel designs meet the needs of both pets and their owners.
• Work closely with the production team to communicate design details and specifications for pet apparel.
• Research and recommend new materials and technologies for improved pet apparel performance.
• Assist in fitting sessions for pet apparel and make necessary adjustments to prototypes.

Responsibilities

About You

• You love dogs - OBVIOUSLY (pls include a photo of your dog in resume and a brief description of the significance your dog or family dog has in your life)
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Clo3d, Adobe Illustrator or similar design software.
• Knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
• Passion for pets, especially dogs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• MUST be an undergraduate college student located in Los Angeles.

Bonus

• Experience in technical design or fashion design.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in the fashion industry.
• Previous experience with 3D Fashion Design
