Imagine One Technology & Management is currently seeking SAP ABAP Developers (junior level).  The SAP ABAP Developer will join our team supporting a NAVSEA program associated with the development, fielding and support of a large family of shore-based maintenance applications.  Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, but has the potential for remote or telework support. As a SAP ABAP Developer, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: 
 

  • Support project development needs in support of implementation of the Navy Financial System Implementation of SAP S4/HANA 
  • Participate with customer business and functional team in design workshops and requirements gathering 
  • Work with functional and other teams to understand business requirements and translate into technical specifications and solutions in accordance with client standards and architecture 
  • Understand user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high-quality deliverables within the SAP landscape
  • Design, code and correct large and/or complex programs and program modifications as custom development, or within an existing application 
  • Manage the construction of code based on a technical design, following development standards 
  • Ensure all code is well documented and can be navigated by others
  • Perform end user training and internal cross training to other team members as necessary 
  • Define test cases and run unit tests on developed, or modified system changes 
  • Defect resolution including debugging complex scenarios 
  • Work closely with SAP functional personnel to implement and deploy changes to SAP and other integrated or interfaced systems 
  • Provide input into the design of SAP enhancements and roll outs, offering advice and thoughts providing feedback 
  • Defect resolution including debugging complex scenarios  


Experience Requirements:   

  • Five to ten (5 to10) years of technical and strategic experience of increasing responsibility providing software engineering, planning, design, analysis, and developing complex software models and applications across multiple hardware and software platforms.
  • Six or more (6+) years of SAP experience preferably S/4Hana
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently based on the strategic plan or under general direction. 
  • Understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies
  • Preferred:
    • 2+ years of Navy ERP (SAP) experience within the past ten years.


Educational Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. 

An additional 4 years of SAP ABAP or equivalent COTS experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

C4ISR support include technical and engineering support such as: analysis of technical initiatives and new concepts for further exploration; research and preparation of new technologies; technical analysis support and reports on C4ISR architecture tools used to assess and verify demonstrations, tests and exercises; system software analyses, design, installation, testing and independent evaluation and assessments, and software upgrades.

For the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) test and evaluation (T&E) Support Services delivery order, Imagine One supports several SSC-LANT Program Managers with specialized requirements engineering, analysis, and tracking services. Imagine One worked with the customer to strategically plan how proven USMC T&E processes could be automated using the IBM Rational suite of tools to meet or exceed the overall T&E program vision and mission, and customer expectations.

Major contract vehicles supporting DoD customers include SSC-LANT 8(a) MAC, SeaPort-e, and GSA MOBIS, and 8(a) GSA STARS II. NAICS codes include 541330, 561210, 518210, 541511, 541512, 541519, 541712, and 541611.
