Neurologist

Job Description
We are seeking multiple Physician Neurologist to join our team at Fort Carson, Colorado.  This position will support the Evans Army Community Hospital MQS Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide the services outlined below.  They will provide services necessary to perform onsite Neurology Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Army medical system.
Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
• Outpatient Services. Provide outpatient services for patients as scheduled by the Government.
• Inpatient Services. Shall provide inpatient care. 
• Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur. 
• Capable of performing lumbar punctures. 
• Capable of performing and interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography. 
• Capable of performing evoked potentials and electroencephalograms. 
• Capable of providing chemo denervation (such as botulinum toxin injections) for common neurological conditions.
• Prepare all records and reports as may be required in support of services rendered and as required by the MTF.  Ensure a safe work environment and employee safe work habits.

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

• Licensed to practice medicine.
• Current board certification in adult Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN).
• Have at least 24 months of neurology experience within the last 36 months. 
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
• DEA License
• US Citizen

Education Required:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Successful completion of ACGME approved Neurology Medical Residency

Physical Requirements:

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
• May require bending, stooping, and lifting to 15 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications:

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
• Must relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
• Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance
