Bus Driver/Porter w/ CDL Class B needed:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Pickup and drop-off grade school aged program participants in a safe manner from designated stops to the center and back. General maintenance and custodial duties while not driving.
LOCATION:
Upper Manhattan
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pickup and drop-off grade school aged program participants
- Keep vehicle clean and in good operating condition
- Inspect vehicle daily and report any operational or structural defects immediately to Director of Facilities
- Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of vehicle (gas, oil, tire changes)
- Pick up and return vehicle to parking lot
- General maintenance and custodial duties
REQUIREMENTS:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CLD) Class B
- Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsements
- Able to be certified under NY Vehicle and Traffic Law Article 19-A
- Must be willing to perform porter duties while not driving
SCHEDULE:
- Full-time; 8-hour work day; 40-hour work week
- Monday through Friday
COMPENSATION:
- $52,000 per year; paid at $25 per hour
- $2,000 signing bonus; after completion of 90 days of employment
- Eligible for salary increases under the collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
