Job Description

Our Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for billing and follow up on medical claims. This position helps the team achieve revenue targets of the practice.

Schedule

- Monday through Friday

- Hybrid (ability to work remotely a few days each week once trained)

What You'll Do:

- Send claims, verify records attached to the claims, follow up on claim status

- Work on all appeals and adjustment postings, complete all patient postings

- Correct insurance claims and refunds due to insurance companies

- Answers calls and questions from insurance companies

- Sends statements monthly, working with Practice Manager on outstanding accounts

- Works with Practice Manager on monthly collections and claim goals

- Assist offices with insurance breakdowns, as needed

Skills and Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Minimum of 2 year of medical billing experience required.

- Experience with Sleep Center billing helpful

- Experience with Open Dental a plus

- Experience with Google Workspace helpful
