SUMMARY

The Facilities Support Technician performs a variety of infrastructure and small maintenance tasks across the Corden Pharma Colorado plant site. The Technician interfaces with operations, mechanics, contractors, and tech support groups to ensure work is efficient, compliant, and safe. Informs supervisors of process impacted activities. The Technician assists with efforts to maintain site function, upkeep, and aesthetics for infrastructure such as roofs, roadways, and buildings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establishes and maintains strong, transparent, and effective day to day working relationships between manufacturing, maintenance & facilities, R&D, internal support, regulatory groups, and CPC customers (Both sites), related to assigned duties
  • Perform maintenance and project support to ensure:
  1. Work is performed safely and in compliance with environmental, industrial hygiene, OSHA regulations, and corporate directives
  2. Operations impact is minimized
  3. Work is performed efficiently and on schedule
  • Tasks may include:
  1. Demolition
  2. Construction
  3. Maintenance and repairs on assigned systems, including but not limited to:
  • Plumbing systems
  • Roof systems
  • Roadways
  • Drywall
  • Systems Furniture
  • Irrigation systems
  • Flooring
  1. Confined space entry
  2. Office Setups
  3. Snow removal
  4. Painting
  • Interfaces will typically include, but are not limited to:
  1. Operations
  2. Maintenance mechanics, electricians, and instrument technicians
  3. Project Engineering
  4. Contractors (e.g., engineering, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, general contractors, etc.)
  5. Environmental operations and engineering
  6. Technical Safety
  7. Industrial Hygiene
  8. Utilities
  9. Brigade Chief
  • Works on special assignments as required
  • Implements and maintains adherence to all company policies concerning environmental, health, safety, quality, and human resources

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience are required. One year of site experience, or comparable prior experience is desired.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
