As our growth has continued, we are looking to hire a Mechanical Assembler who understands that we must maintain the highest level of quality and standards for the products that we create and send out around the world.
Summary: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly and testing of high precision products of varying complexity, under minimal supervision. You should naturally take pride in the quality and quantity of work performed and produced. Additionally, you will also be responsible for managing the resources required to maintain the manufacturing environment and ensure timely completion of high-quality products that conform to all documented requirements
Job Description:
· Perform mechanical assembly of various types including wire harnesses, chassis, motors and gear trains.
· Working with our team or alone on large structures using rivets and fasteners with both hand and power tools.
· Perform all tasks in accordance with Drawings, Work Instructions and Work Order Travelers.
· Perform quality testing using conductivity test methods. Working with our Quality department for adherence to our work instructions.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Required Education/Skills:
· High school education or equivalent
· 2+ years of technical training and 3+ years of related experience.
· Excellent verbal and written skills
· Ability to read and follow drawings, bill of materials and work instructions without supervision.
· Ability to work with a variety of products and related manufacturing tasks.
· Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this particular field.
· Experience in mechanical assembly, wiring, adjusting and testing of electro-mechanical devices.
Physical demands:
· Moving/Positioning/Transporting up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
· Use of hand tools and power tools
· Must be able to stand & walk for extended periods of time
