Company Overview:

Print NW, the largest commercial printer in the South Sound and the seventh largest in Washington State, seeks a dedicated Shipping Supervisor to enhance our logistics operations. Role Summary:

The Shipping Supervisor will be integral to our logistics team, working under the guidance of the Production Manager, Scheduling, and Plant Manager. This role ensures that products are packaged and dispatched timely and efficiently, overseeing our internal delivery team and managing all facets of shipping and receiving, including domestic and international freight (FedEx, UPS, DHL). This position plays a crucial part in maintaining the flow of goods in and out of our facilities, and the ideal candidate will be hands-on, leading from the front in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management to establish shipping priorities, aligning them with customer demands and business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and train team members on operational procedures and best practices while fostering a collaborative team environment to meet daily targets.
• Operational Management: Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving, ensuring accurate and timely handling of products. Oversee the internal delivery team and coordinate with external vendors, couriers, and customs agents.
• Quality Control: Support continuous improvement by participating in customer and regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with all safety, security, and quality protocols.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication channels within the team and other departments to ensure a seamless flow of information and prevent potential delays.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 1-3 years in a shipping or manufacturing environment with proven leadership responsibilities.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or related fields preferred.
• Abilities: Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills are essential. Must handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and adapt to changing conditions.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and LTL Freight operations. Competent with Office 365 and email management systems.
• Physical Requirements: The candidate must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and performing physical tasks that may include standing, walking, and bending during the shift.

Additional Information:

This role may require working evenings and weekends when necessary. Reliable transportation is a must to ensure punctuality and reliability in attendance.
