Job Description
The Distribution Center Logistics Coordinator, reporting to the Distribution Center Supervisor, provides analytical and administrative support in optimizing all facets of the customer shipping activity within the Perrysburg Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and communication of truck loading process with carriers exemplifying utmost professionalism
- Coordination and communication with stakeholders (Libbey security, drivers, distribution employees) to accurately identify loads for pickup, dock door assignment, appropriate trailers to load etc.
- Preparations and recording of all shipping documents to include manifests, load cards, Bills of Lading, Gate Pass, seal log, Pick List Report, etc.
- Assemble paperwork to be ready for carrier arrival/pick-up: Bill-Of-Lading, Seal, Load Card and Pick List Report
- Perform JD Edward functions: Ship Confirm, Autofax BOL or Packing Lists
- Communicating timely with Customer Service team on any potential service issues
- Timely and accurate entry of load information into Distribution Center Scheduling System
- Shipment Tracker Option: Enter order picking and truck loading information into system.
- Accurately place load card to Shipping Board
- Timely and accurate billing of customer
- Process, print and validate shipping documents
- Assist in establishing and attaining department goals and metrics
- May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; advanced degree and/or certifications preferred
- 2+ years of logistics experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Works closely with internal and external stakeholders, consistently exhibiting Libbey Values in all interactions
- Must demonstrate safety in the workplace
- Highly organized to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Effectively work with Libbey’s order management (JDE), and Warehouse Management (WMS) systems
- Ability and willingness to work alternate shifts as required
- Experience in a union environment a plus
Working Conditions:
- Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers to operate office tools
- Frequent speaking/listening in face-to-face and/or phone conversations
- Occasional reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching
