Senior Lending Officer

Summary Description

The Senior Lending Officer oversees Ministry Loans to include receipt and evaluation of loan applications, due diligence processes, and the preparation of loan documents and loan closings.

Reporting

The Senior Lending Officer reports to the Director, Church Extension Fund.

Broad Job Responsibilities

1. Serve as the primary contact for Southern Baptist churches, associations, other Southern Baptist entities, and like-minded evangelical ministries who may utilize Ministry Loan Services
2. Receive, review, and evaluate applications for Ministry Loans from Southern Baptist churches, associations, other Southern Baptist entities, and like-minded evangelical ministries
3. Present applications for Ministry Loans along with pertinent information to the Ministry Services Committee of the board of directors
4. Secure the preparation of necessary loan documents and supervise their execution
5. Maintain and review records on all Ministry Loans
6. Assist the Director, Church Extension Fund, to ensure alignment with organizational goals, strategies, and lending priorities
7. Participate in regular meetings and discussions to provide updates on lending activities, seek guidance on complex cases, and contribute insights to enhance lending operations and effectiveness

Job Classifications and Requirements

• This is a full-time, exempt position.
• Applicants must have a minimum of five years of prior experience in commercial lending.
• As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Therefore, this position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church (which is defined as a church which is cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists).

Working Environment

• This position generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
• Travel and operation of a vehicle may be required.
