Staff Accountant

The GEE Group has partnered with a fast-growing client seeking a Staff Accountant to assist in financial operations for their manufacturing plant in the southern Cleveland area. Due to the growing demand for their products and business model the Staff Accountant will be tasked with assisting management in scaling the business through consistent and improved accounting methods. Candidates who are interested in getting into a company that promotes within and is looking to build out their team over the next few years will do well in this role. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with the following daily responsibilities:

·         Maintenance of the General Ledger

·         Assisting with month-end close

·         Reconciliation of bank accounts

·         Assisting with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

·         Assisting with audits

·         Maintenance and improvement of company accounting processes

·         General cost accounting

Successful candidates will have:

·         Previous professional experience in accounting

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, related field, or equivalent career experience

·         Strong communication skills, able to work in a collaborative environment

·         Microsoft suite proficiency

·         Manufacturing industry helps
