Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Detailer to join our team who is familiar with structural steel. As a CAD Detailer, you will play a crucial role in the design and production of our high-quality steel products. You will be responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings and specifications, ensuring that our products are fabricated accurately and to the highest quality standards.
Salary negotiable.

Candidate should be/have:
-AutoCAD (2D and 3D) modeling (3 years of experience min)
-Experience with Architectural Construction Documents for Commercial Projects and be able to efficiently translate design concepts and sketches into accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
-Collaborate with the design and engineering team to create detailed CAD shop drawings of our products.
-Collaborate with project managers to meet project deadlines and budgets.
-Assist in creating and maintaining a CAD library of standard components and designs.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, error-free drawings.
-Prepare all necessary lists, documents, or files (shop and field bolts, galvanized pieces, CNC files, etc) and deliver to the appropriate people in support of the project
-Create and revise production/fabrication/shop/erection drawings, open to new ideas and designs based on our customer’s needs, demands and changes.
-Understanding of current IBSC, and AISC standards as it relates to connection design, detailing practices, steel member dimensions and properties, and welding processes.
-Review contract documents to understand project’s scope and requirements, identify all potential areas of concern, as needed
-Help coordinate projects and/or check drawings prepared by others
-Interpret and incorporate Approval Comments, Contract Changes and other revisions to the scope of the project
-Participate in the Quality Management program.
-Able to balance multiple projects at any given time, completing projects in a timely manner.
-Can work at relatively high level of production while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
-Strong math and trigonometry skills
-Clear communicator on phone, in professional written documents/emails, and in person.
-Able to prioritize and accomplish diverse types of projects with various deadlines
-Knowledge and experience in steel fabrication and layout is a plus
-General understanding of AWS Welding Symbols
-Knowledge of plasma nesting software is a plus.
