Field Service Engineer

Rio Controls & Hydraulics Inc. (RCH) is a rapidly growing subsidiary of Rio Marine. RCH is responsible for the design, programming, manufacturing, testing, and support for both marine and industrial control systems. As a young company, RCH offers an opportunity to get involved in the beginning stages of an engineering, manufacturing and service organization and to have a great impact on the building of the company. We are currently seeking an engineer with the ability to learn and adapt to a wide variety of job responsibilities and with the drive to excel in a fast paced work environment.

Initially, the position will be focused on field commissioning of marine control and alarm systems. When not in the field you would aid in mechanical and electrical drafting, PLC and HMI programming, and oversee production and manufacturing. Over time the position will transition to engineering design to include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Required:

Must be willing to travel. Must be proficient with AutoCAD (or similar), Microsoft Office, and must have the aptitude to learn new things quickly. Must be a team player and able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work without supervision and have the drive to provide solutions to a multitude of design hurdles. Must have the ability to adapt and overcome. Able to lift object up to 50lbs.

You will have extensive exposure to the following:

-Electrical Engineering to include drafting

-Mechanical Engineering to include drafting

-Programming PLC’s and HMI’s

-Electrical/Mechanical Assembly, Service and Support

-Experience in production and testing of electrical/mechanical equipment
