Houston, TX.
1-year contract to start. Mon-Fri 40/hrs. per week. Hybrid Work From Home Model.

Job Description:

• This position is accountable for supporting and executing Operational Readiness & Assurance processes, process improvement and opportunity identification in support of project requirements through each stage of the project lifecycle, to support the safe, reliable and profitable transition of assets into operation. Development of communications, and technical writing for standards and process documents on behalf of the Operations Services Department.

Specific Accountabilities:

• As GTM Project Integration liaison, promote the Operational Readiness & Assurance (ORA) processes. Make recommendations for the continuous improvement of best practices between business units regarding ORA and the successful transition of assets to the owner.
• Identification of opportunities to improve and support the integration of assets throughout the lifecycle of a project and awareness of interrelationships between stakeholders.
• Evaluation and comparison of existing processes to identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
• Nice to have - Technical writing to support standard, process and template updates.
• Responsible for ensuring that throughout the lifecycle of projects, a high level of communications is maintained with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist projects and GTM stakeholder departments to ensure compliance with ORA procedures.
• Responsible for working effectively within a team structure.

Scope/Dimensions:

• Interact with GTM departments to understand their roles, accountabilities and processes in the Lifecycle of a project and provide guidance on potential improvements to processes to the overall support of project execution.
• Work with GTM departments to ensure integrated support for MP and Core projects on the GTM system.
• Review policies/procedures and recommend improved processes for seamless integration.

Contacts (Working Relationships):

• Frequent interaction with GTM operational support groups and project personnel from MP Projects, Core Projects, Project Engineering and Project Development
• Occasional interactions with LP operational support groups
• Interfaces internally with the Project Integration team members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:
• Engineering degree, technical diploma or equivalent – or combination of education and experience
• 7 years of operational and/or project experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills (written and oral) to understand and explain complex technical and operational issues to variety of audiences.
• Ability to initiate and manage change, be innovative, problem solve, negotiate and think strategically.
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills to lead small, diverse working groups of Operational and Technical resources to accomplish business unit goals.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment and to establish priorities.
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively to ensure business results are achieved.

Preferred:
• Project execution and integration experience
• Experience with JIRA Issue & Project tracking software
