Civil Engineer, PE

Givler Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for civil engineering to work on one or more of the following areas: water resources management, dam construction, site development, or municipal projects. As a professional civil engineer, you will play a critical role in the planning, designing, and execution of projects. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Working with EITs and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plans.
• Performing civil engineering planning and analysis, detailing, and plan set production
• Project management responsibilities include task, budget, and schedule management, as well as client interaction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, or related field from an ABET university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Texas
• Minimum 5 years of experience including experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• As a Texas based company, must be familiar with state and local zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other design criteria to independently formulate and present specific practical solutions to project design problems.
• Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
• Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and within the budget.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills required to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.
