SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Associate Director of Housing plays a crucial role in developing and overseeing housing solutions for residents of Humboldt Park's tent city. This leadership position involves strategic planning, program development, stakeholder engagement, and direct oversight of initiatives aimed at transitioning residents to stable and sustainable housing. The Associate Director will work closely with the Director of Housing Programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and the achievement of program goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Lead the development and implementation of housing programs tailored to meet the needs of tent city residents, including transitional housing, rapid rehousing, and permanent housing solutions.

§ Establish and maintain partnerships with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, housing developers, and other stakeholders to enhance housing opportunities for the target population.

§ Oversee case management and support services to ensure they are effectively integrated with housing initiatives.

§ Manage program budgets, grant applications, and funding reports to ensure the financial health and sustainability of housing programs.

§ Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, implementing improvements as necessary to achieve strategic goals.

§ Lead, train, and support a team of housing specialists and case managers, fostering a collaborative and effective work environment.

§ Advocate for policies and resources that support housing stability and accessibility for individuals experiencing homelessness.

§ Represent the organization at community meetings, conferences, and public forums to raise awareness and support for housing initiatives.

§ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local housing regulations and standards.

This position requires compliance with all of The PRCC’s written standards, including its Standards of Conduct, all policies and procedures, and Regulatory Compliance requirements. Compliance will be considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

§ Proven leadership and program management experience in housing services, homelessness prevention, or related fields.

§ Knowledge of housing development, real estate, and funding mechanisms for affordable housing projects.

§ Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities.

§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

§ Commitment to the mission of addressing homelessness and promoting housing stability.

§ Ability to work flexibly and responsively in a dynamic environment.

§ Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

EDUCATION:

§ Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, or a related field preferred.
