Job Description

Summary/Objective

Delta Technology builds robotic and automated manufacturing systems from some of the most recognizable brands in the world! We are looking to add an experienced, detail-oriented and innovative Electro/Mechanical Assembly Technician to our team. This is not a typical manufacturing job, and you will be assembling integrated systems from the ground up. You will assemble complex machinery with fabricated and purchased parts using drawings, schematics, and parts list that are provided by engineering as the assembly instructions. We are looking for someone that must be able to build all parts of a system: mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic. Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings, and BOM’s provided by engineering.
  2. Able to complete highly complex mechanical assemblies that require fitting, alignment, and adjustment to very close tolerances.
  3. Perform machining and mechanical alterations and additions during debug.
  4. Works with the mechanical and controls engineers to make the machine perform properly.
  5. Perform various non-repetitive mechanical assembly functions using hand or power tools.
  6. Build machines and sub-assemblies according to design requirements and customer specifications.
  7. Breakdown and pack out for shipment to customer site.
  8. Assembly and installation on customer site.

  3. Provide timely and detailed status updates.
  4. Quality – Ensure standards are maintained in a highly regulated, process driven environment.
  5. Must have the ability to travel, domestically or internationally, and stay on customer sites for extended period of time during installations or for field service preferred.
  6. Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments.

Requirements

  1. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  2. Clean driving record and ability to drive company truck
  3. High School diploma or GED.
  4. Machining experience a plus
  5. Minimum 5-years experience assembling complex systems.
  6. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electrical schematics/wiring diagrams, and pneumatic diagrams.
  7. Previous experience with machine assembly in the automation industry or capital equipment environment preferred.
  8. General knowledge of custom automation equipment preferred.
  9. General machine shop skills including lathe, mill, and grinding.
  10. Understands geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  11. Competence with a wide variety of tools and measuring instruments.
  12. Must be able to work both alone and in a team.
