CONCRETE CUTTING & CORING OPERATOR/HELPER

Hardcore is seeking qualified individual responsible for operating machines to cut and core drill concrete or asphalt; perform demolition work; scarifying, and ground penetrating radar scanning.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review plans for the project with project management and then with owner/general contractor prior to commencing work.
- Review and adhere to any Job schedules set forth by General Contractor for project.
- Maintain Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved for the job
- Organize resources required for the project: work force, machinery and equipment, and materials
- Motivate, train and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
- Manage and document accurate job time and the time of concrete laborers.
- Consult with contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure project completion is acceptable and well-done.
- Ensure that safety measures are adhered to.
- Perform set up/breakdown machine and equipment.
- Inspects all equipment, owned or rented, upon delivery to and prior to transportation off the project. Reports all problems and/or damages immediately.
- Coordinate demolition work and haul off of debris per job specifications.
- Ensure Jobsite cleanup.
- Assures project legal documents are completed, signed, and turned in for processing.
- Ensures all potential change orders are submitted for pricing and signed before work commences.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency with the following tools is required for this position; wall saw, hydraulic and standard core drill, flat saw, diamond chain saw, wire saw, jackhammer.
- Skill in cutting and core drilling concrete structures to job specifications. Work overtime as required.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License, Pre-employment drug screen and background check when site specific.
- Must adhere to strict Silica Exposure protocols.
- First Aid, CPR Certification.
- Interstate/Intrastate DOT Compliance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES
- A thorough awareness about the construction industry and executing a construction project.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ability to work without close supervision and be able to adapt to a wide variety of conditions.
- Takes pride in craftsmanship
- Must have good vision, stamina, good hand-eye coordination and an ability to estimate size and dimensions.
- Required to perform task that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in areas that are dusty and dirty; subject to extreme temperatures for periods more than one hour; subject to noise, vibration, and hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, and exposure to chemicals. Worker is subject to fumes, odors, dust, gases and poor ventilation. Required to function in narrow aisles or passageways. May also work in close quarters, crawl spaces, manholes, small enclosed rooms, and other areas that could cause claustrophobia.
