Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The successful candidate should have experience working in a high-volume wholesale shipping department, proficiency with digital inventory and shipping systems. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work closely with the Parts Manager and the rest of the Parts Department.

Any job offer will be conditioned on passing a drug test for the following substances: Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates, Methadone, Propoxyphene, Cocaine, Heroin, Codeine, Morphine, Amphetamines, PCP. We do not test for marijuana or THC.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the handling, storing, and shipping of materials and supplies.
• Responsible for operating material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
• Validates incoming and outgoing shipments by item and quantity to assure accuracy.
• Maintains reports on shortages, overages, freight claims, damage claims, shorted piece counts, etc. and presents reports to Parts Manager.
• Maintains material storage area cleanliness, organization, and labeling.
• Assists the Parts Department in support functions or to fill-in in other roles when needed.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse or other shipping/receiving role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a forklift and willing/able to become forklift certified.
• Be able and willing to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis.
• Be able and willing to reach, crouch, etc. on a daily basis.
• Attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Be at least 18 years of age.
