Service Technician

Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and service vehicles in our dealership. Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle diagnostics and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards
- Inspect and test vehicle systems and components, identifying any issues and recommending necessary repairs
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently, updating records and inventory systems as needed
- Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to dealership safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers, providing updates and recommendations for vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and certification programs
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive maintenance and repairs
- Valid driver's license
- Strong mechanical and technical skills
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostic and repair equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- ASE certifications preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
