Parts Counter Associate / Inside Sales -- Truck Parts

We are a truck parts store with a machine shop. We have 2 locations – Elk Grove Village and East Dundee, IL. We are looking for a long term Counter person. Interviews and training will be done at the Elk Grove Village, IL location, but the permanent job will be at the East Dundee location.

Job Purpose:

Sells truck parts by taking and clarifying customer orders; retrieving and selling new and replacement parts; receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; maintaining safe and secure environment.

Duties:

* Takes customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions.

* Completes sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts.

* Receives returned items by inspecting items; returning payment; issuing credit; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplier.

* Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with codes.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading about new products.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting responsibility for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job performance.

Skills/Qualifications:

Data Entry Skills, Telephone Skills, Customer Focus, Customer Service, Good Verbal Communication, Selling to Customer Needs, Product Knowledge, Professionalism, Team Player, Truck Parts Experience Preferred – Not Required.

Requirements:

Heavy Lifting (100 lbs +), Valid Driver’s License, Must Speak English.

Very Competitive Pay Scale depending on experience. $25 - $30 per hour

Starting Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (with 30 min unpaid lunch) and every other Saturday 8:00 am - 12 noon
