Job Description

JOB TITLE:             Program Support Specialist, weekend part-time

DEPARTMENT:     Residential Maternity and Foster Care

SUMMARY:           Responsible for providing support and care to meet the physical and psychological needs of clients through providing direct and indirect care. Crittenton is a Residential Program providing services 24 hours a day 365 days a year to women and girls and their children.

REPORTS TO:        Program Support Supervisor

STATUS:                 Part-time, non-exempt

PAY RANGE:          $15 per hour

Program Support Specialists will support our clients and our Residential Team by transporting clients in agency vehicles, providing coverage in each residential program, and helping to maintain an environment conducive to group living.  The ideal candidates will have experience in documentation, client transportation, and providing quality residential care.  

Part-time Program Support Specialists work 20 hours per week and must be available to work one of the following two schedules:  

Friday 6am – 10am, Saturday 3pm – 11pm, and Sunday 3pm 
OR Friday 2pm – 6pm, Saturday 3pm – 11pm, and Sunday 3pm – 11pm.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 
•    Transport and accompany individuals to and from medical appointments, recreational activities, school and day care, shopping trips and other activities as assigned by supervisor.
•    Perform detailed daily room checks for each program.
•    Print daily transportation report and perform daily inspection of agency vehicles, ensuring vehicles remain clean, sanitary, filled with gas, and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
•    Provide coverage for programs as needed which includes supervising clients and their children in all aspects of the residential program. 
•    Perform monthly inspection of first aid kits and medicine cabinets in each program and vehicle, checking for expired medications and supply replenishment.
•    Assist with documentation checks for all agency programs.
•    Participate in 24 hours of continuing education and training annually.
•    Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    Current valid driver license and good driving record.
•    Ability to complete CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
•    Knowledge and skills in educating clients on daily living skills.
•    Non-violent crisis intervention skills.
•    Good computer skills to access emails, training and record keeping software.
•    Ability to be understanding and sensitive to the unique needs and circumstances of our clients.
•    Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a customer-focused attitude.
•    Must be an excellent role model.
•    Must be available to work one of the following two schedules:  Friday 6am – 10am, Saturday 3pm – 11pm, and Sunday 3pm – 11pm   OR    Friday 2pm – 6pm, Saturday 3pm – 11pm, and Sunday 3pm – 11pm
•    Must pass background check and drug screening (answering “yes” to having a conviction(s) does not automatically disqualify you from employment. The nature of the offense, date of occurrence, and the job for which you are applying are also considered)

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience working in a residential, group home, or human services setting.
