IT PM/BA Job Description

Mygrant Glass is an industry-leading wholesale automotive glass company with nearly ninety branches across the United States. It is an exciting time for Mygrant Glass as we continue to grow our workforce, expanding operations, supply chain, marketing, software development, and sales teams. We are looking for a dedicated, data-driven and team-oriented IT Business Analyst/Project Manager (BAPM) to join our Project Management Office.

The IT Business Analyst/Project Manager serves as a liaison between IT, business leadership and stakeholders, and between the PMO and IT Development. The successful candidate should be a dynamic champion for transformation, detail driven, with experience working in an Agile environment. The right candidate will be an expert in facilitating stakeholder-level conversations to gather and document business process requirements resulting in clear user stories, use cases, and project deliverables for both projects and development requirements, while ensuring that the needs of the business are addressed and encompassed in our technology solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



BUSINESS ANALYSIS

• Be a champion for transformation through systems improvement.
• Be a dynamic personality within the business, able to lead and moderate conversations and team discussions toward clear outcomes.
• Work directly with the business to understand software usage and Business IT needs.
• Collaborate to gather, document, create, and analyze data leading to the presentation and implementation of Business & Functional Requirements, Process Flow Diagrams, Architectural Diagrams, User and Use Case Stories, and Requirements Traceability Matrices.
• Identify and recommend system improvements based on business feedback, real-world data, industry trends, and professional business knowledge.
• Innovate using a variety of analytical tools to discover the most impactful insights.
• Create and present reports and demonstrations to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations, new software functionality, and enhancements.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Experienced with Agile and Waterfall Project Frameworks.
• Administer project plans throughout the project lifecycle, providing direct support to the program/project manager, project teams, and business stakeholders.
• Works collaboratively with project leads and project teams to develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
• Accurately and consistently forecast project resource, material, and contract costs.
• Lead project status meetings and regularly communicate status of all projects to business stakeholders.
• Communicate project changes or impacts to stakeholders and obtain authorization for budget underruns, overruns, or changes to estimates.
• Maintain the project repository, which includes major project artifacts such as project plans, issues logs, risk assessments, change requests, and status reports.
• Work collaboratively within the PMO and the broader business to build a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, business administration, or other related qualification.
• 4 years’ experience in business analysis and analysis implementation.
• 4 years’ experience in Project Management frameworks. (Waterfall, Agile.)
• Be an expert communicator delivering clear and concise written and verbal communication.

PREFERRED SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Experience facilitating Business Discussions.
• Experience converting Business Requirements into actionable project deliverables.
• Leading technical demonstrations of proposed solutions.
• Experience working with Enterprise-level projects at scale.
• Project Management Certification. (ex. PMP, Agile ScrumMaster, Agile SAfE SA or greater.)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification.
• Business Analysis Certification (ex. CBAP, ABA, etc.)
• Power BI experience.
• SQL/MySQL experience.
• Microsoft SharePoint.
• Big Picture.
• Scrum Master, Product Owner, and/or Release Management experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and making fine discriminations in sound. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.

Some travel (up to 20%, local) may be required.

This role is remote. The right candidate will work from a dedicated remote office free from distractions and will participate in our remote culture.
