Job Description

Eklego is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Leadership Development Consultant to join a team of nursing professionals working on a long-term contract with a prestigious healthcare system in the Philadelphia, PA area. Currently we have a Full-Time Day opportunity, offering a contract up to at least 12 months or more with a routine schedule of 8-5pm. This contract offers a Premium rate!

Current opportunity will include occasional travel within the following counties:

  • Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties
  • Bucks, Philadelphia, and Montgomery Counties
  • Berks, Lancaster, and Schuylkill Counties

What will I do in this Leadership Development Specialist role?

The Leadership Consultant is accountable for supporting leadership development services and programs. S/he will play a strong role in executing the defined Leadership Development strategies throughout all levels of the supported long-term care communities. S/he must be a relationship builder and partner with long term care leaders and external partners. Working under light supervision and reporting to the Senior Consultant, the Leadership Development Consultant is responsible for the planning, implementation, and analysis of long-term care leadership development projects and initiatives. The Consultant will work with team members on all aspects of multiple, simultaneous projects including data gathering, design, facilitation, and implementation. The Consultant will be expected to develop relationships with the internal and external leaders to help identify and understand the gaps and identify solutions. The Consultant will take the initiative to scope the work and coordinate and support implementation. Position is grant funded for approximately one year with the potential for renewal year to year.

Job Duties:

  • Uses instructional design principles and adult learner best practices; to design, develop and facilitate educational solutions to improve LTC leadership performance.
  • Incorporates proven models and theories in the design of courses and programs. In conjunction with the Senior Consultants, supports leadership development services and programs by assessing need, identifying, developing, and implementing leadership learning strategies, tactics, and outcomes.
  • Able to consult 1:1 with LTC leaders and offer programmatic solutions to leadership gaps identified.
  • Manage multiple initiatives, approaching work in a thoughtful, coordinated way with attention to details.
  • Create tools and resources that support LTC leaders' ability to maintain and keep engaged front line employees.
  • Presents information, directs structured learning experiences, and manages group discussions according to agreed upon design.
  • Serves as "train-the-trainer" to develop back-up facilitators for identified programs.
  • Ensures that programs are current and are revised as necessary.
  • Keeps program facilitator guides current to ensure that back-up trainers can readily facilitate the program.
  • Reviews program evaluations and suggests improvements.
  • Ensures pre and post class work is completed and prepare analysis.

Requires:

  • BA Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar area of study, required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience developing and managing project plans for complex projects required.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel and work remotely/virtually 85% of the time.
