Restoration Mason

**Position Overview:**

The Experienced Restoration Mason will play a critical role in our restoration projects, bringing expertise in masonry repair, restoration, and preservation. This position requires a candidate with a deep understanding of traditional masonry techniques and materials, as well as a proven track record of success in masonry restoration. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of verifiable experience in the field and a passion for restoring the beauty and integrity of historic and contemporary structures.

**Responsibilities:**

• Perform high-quality masonry restoration work on historic and modern buildings, including brick, stone, and concrete structures.
• Match existing masonry work in repairs to ensure seamless restoration, including color matching, tooling, and texture.
• Conduct assessments of damaged masonry structures to determine the best restoration approach.
• Mix and apply mortars and grouts appropriate for specific restoration projects, adhering to historical accuracy and durability requirements.
• Use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools in the restoration process.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and practices to ensure a safe work environment.

**Qualifications:**

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in masonry restoration and repair.
• Extensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary masonry techniques and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to craftsmanship and quality.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to perform demanding work in various conditions and to lift heavy materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in masonry or related field is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have basic tools required for most masonry jobs.
