Reports To:

The Driver will report to the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or Transport Supervisor.

Position Summary:

Operates comfortable, lightweight armored vehicles and provides valuable cargo transportation services to clients, retail locations, and financial institutions across state lines. Serves clients all over surrounding states driving on average 300-500 miles a day This position interacts directly with customers with a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:

• up to one night per week overnight travel is required.
• Safely operate vehicles in a variety of traffic, road, weather, and daylight conditions.
• Collects, transports, and delivers currency and coins to and from vehicles and client locations.
• Load and unload ATM machines.
• Drive long distance routes crossing state lines. 300-mile radius from the branch
• Uses handheld electronic devices to scan and track currency shipments and determine vehicle routes.
• Drive on average 300-500 miles a day.
• Maintains communications with designated company representatives.
• Reports delays, customer service issues, security - accident or other incidents, unusual circumstances, and other important information immediately.
• Ensures the safe, accurate, and secure collection and delivery of clients' assets.
• Transports marijuana related business currency and coin orders.
• Provide identification to client facility personnel and authorize for copying purposes if client requires prior to entering facility.
• Completes documentation and updates into handheld electronic devices. Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintains the vehicle, equipment, and the facility in clean and operational readiness condition.
• Always wears proper Empyreal logo'd attire and follows all dress code requirements.
• May be required to travel for training purposes, overnight routes or interbranch coverage.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compliance Responsibilities:

• Follows standard operating procedures (SOP), and fleet safety programs.
• Adheres to dual verification requirements and complies with regulatory requirements.
• The middle compartment of the vehicle must only be opened by a supervisor or Manager. Driver must verify bags with Supervisor present for dual verification. Keys for this compartment are held only at the branch. Middle vault code must be entered by Supervisor or Manager only.
• Adheres to the Empyreal Credit Card Policy.
• Adheres to the per diem policy.
• Adheres to the travel pay policy.
• Adheres to Empyreal's travel policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must have no felonies.
• One plus years of experience preferred within a delivery driver, route driver, truck driver, medical courier, messenger, ATM technician, patrol officer, or secure transport position.
• Must have a working knowledge of navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Must be able to maintain basic logs and records and use scanners and hand-held devices.
• Can be counted on to maintain professionalism, courtesy, respect, and uniform standards.
• Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity are of utmost importance.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, as needed
• Be free of impairment of the use of foot, leg, hand, finger, or an arm, or other structural defects of limitations likely to interfere with the ability to safely control and operate a vehicle
• Sitting for prolonged periods
• Comfortable with traveling long distances in a day
• Moving about to accomplish tasks
• Pushing or pulling
• Reaching overhead, and at or below shoulder level
• Repeating motions, which includes the wrist, hands, and/ or fingers
• Stoop, crouch, or kneel
• Near and far visual acuity
• Use of stairs
• Communicating with others to exchange information
