To thrive as a Dedicated Line Haul Driver, you need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and knowledge of transportation regulations. What are Dedicated Line Haul Drivers?

Dedicated Line Haul Drivers are professional truck drivers who operate on fixed routes, typically transporting freight between specific terminals, hubs, or distribution centers. Unlike over-the-road (OTR) drivers who may travel across the country, dedicated line haul drivers run regular, predictable routes—often between cities or regions—allowing for more consistent schedules. They usually work for freight, parcel, or logistics companies and are responsible for safely and efficiently moving large shipments, often overnight or during set shifts. This role emphasizes reliability, time management, and adherence to safety regulations. Dedicated line haul drivers play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery within the supply chain.
