QA Analyst

Position Summary

The QA Analyst is responsible for the successful analysis of raw materials, bulk, and finished products to ensure that they meet the high-quality standards of C-Care and our customers.

• Perform quality and validating testing on all material.
• Review and approve test results.
• Create and maintain documentation on test results.
• Use knowledge and discretion to perform in-process and final inspections that could result in the stopping of a line, delaying a product pending urgent release, or postponing shipment day of shipments.
• Verify that instruments such as balances, pH meters, spectrophotometer, and other laboratory equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Maintain a clean and organized workplace, free from clutter.
• Maintain and support Quality Standards by ensuring training, SOPs, work instructions, and test methods are completed and followed to meet and exceed Quality Standards.
• Maintain proper supply and chemical levels.
• Provide the manager with immediate and regular updates on the status of any findings that may be of concern.
• Provide daily shift handover communication to incoming team and managers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physics or related field preferred.
• One or more years of related lab experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Working knowledge of Good Lab practices and cGMP guidelines, practices, and documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant SOPs, and test methods (such as pH, viscosity, density, data color, infrared, moisture, titration, etc.).
• Ability to function independently when completing routine testing and issuing rework procedures.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Must be flexible to occasionally work overtime and across shift, as needed.
