Industrial Machine Mechanic

Job Summary: Prime Conduit, a national manufacturer in the electrical PVC Conduit Industry, is seeking a skilled and minimum 5-year experienced Industrial Machinery Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As the Maintenance Mechanic you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.

5 Years minimum of experience maintaining Industrial Production machinery. Types of Production equipment includes extrusion fabrication machinery.

Hourly Rate: $31.62-33.08 DOE - up to $38.00/hr for Journeyman level electrical certifications

• 4 Hrs + hours paid automatically for Off Scheduled on call responses

If worker comes with electrical certifications, then Journeyman level rate can be provided and hourly rate steps can lead to $38.00/hr within first 6 months

Responsibilities:

1. Work with Plant Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor and Lead to complete mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks

2. Take periodic inventories of maintenance supplies, tools and prepare ordering information for purchasing.

3. Visual inspection of maintenance jobs in progress and upon completion to ensure that quality standards are being met.

4. Conduct preventive maintenance and lubrication on production machinery and other plant equipment and facilities in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.

5. Build and install new equipment for plant improvement projects and make new tooling and equipment for replacement of worn-out items.

6. Repair broken or defective equipment as scheduled

7. Assist production personnel with mechanical, electrical or other operational problems with any plant equipment.

8. Assist in performance of emergency maintenance work on a rush basis when production is adversely affected or directed by Maintenance Supervisor.

9. Maintain preventive maintenance, tools and parts, and training records which are necessary. Prepare periodic status reports from these records as necessary.

10. Originate necessary work orders and plan, schedule and expedite completion of such work orders as approved by the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor. Maintain work order log and files and prepare periodic status reports.

11. Attend training programs or sessions to improve level of knowledge and skills consistent with the other job requirements.

12. Inform Supervisor of needed parts, equipment or training requirements

13. Keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all possible times

14. Wear and maintain in good condition all personal safety devices required and work in a safe and efficient manner at all times

15. Develop and maintain a good attendance and employment record

16. Any and all other duties outlined and requested by immediate supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade qualification preferred
• 5 years of Proven experience in a role within the industrial machine maintenance field
• Strong knowledge of industrial PLC's, manufacturing equipment, machinery and systems
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment issues
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blue prints
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Stong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various departments
