SALARY RANGE: $55,000-$65,000

Position: Hybrid Position

SUMMARY of DUTIES

Our Partners-In-Parenting Program (PIP) Bilingual clinician will provide behavioral health treatment to participants in the home or other community locations, who have behavioral health conditions and have had difficulty benefiting from traditional behavioral health treatments in a clinic setting. The goal is to address the emotional and behavioral concerns in order to assist their recovery and wellness journey. The PIP clinician will also help the family develop better-coping strategies and avoid out-of-home placement or psychiatric hospitalization if/ as appropriate. This model also supports children of undocumented parents, those placed with a family caretaker (1017 placement), and those involved in family court proceedings.

PIP will provide services to Westchester resident families eligible for and/or have active open Preventive Services (PS) cases. Referrals are only accepted from the DSS Child Welfare Programs of PS, Child Protective Services (CPS), and Foster Care (FC).

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conducting comprehensive, strength-based assessments of service and clinical needs.
2. Develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the participant, their families, and their support circle.
3. Assist families in securing identified services and advocating to other systems for the provision of these services in an individualized and collaborative manner.
4. Communicating with other community providers regarding the needs and progress.
5. Communicate and collaborate with PS/CPS/FC regularly as applicable.
6. Providing crisis intervention as needed.
7. Participating in community outreach and presentations.
8. Maintaining up-to-date and complete case records, including documentation, and providing written reports and statistics as required.
9. Participate in team meetings, consultations, and individual supervision.
10. Complete the required number of client contact hours per year.
11. Participate in program development and in training programs.
12. Follow the established agency policies & procedures.
13. Maintain appropriate professional standards.
14. Provide crisis intervention on-call services on a rotating basis.
15. Other related duties.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

1. Principles, practices, and methods of community mental health treatment including interviewing, assessment, family, child, and crisis intervention.
2. Adult and/or child psychology, including development and psychopathology.
3. Applicable city, state, and federal guidelines and laws affecting mental health treatment, services, and reporting procedures.
4. Characteristics and types of mental and emotional illness.
5. Principles of psychological growth and development.
6. Familiarity with and ability to use an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
7. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural humility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. The candidate must hold one of the following New York State licenses: LMSW, LCSW, or Psychologist.
2. Bilingual required (Spanish).
3. Basic computer knowledge is required.
4. Must be reliable and able to work independently and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
5. Must have a valid Driver’s License and a driving record that is satisfactory to our insurance carrier.
6. Must maintain current New York State Defensive Driving certification.

1. Must be and maintain clearance through the NYS Justice Center through fingerprinting for a Criminal History Records search.
2. Must be and maintain clearance by the DCJS New York State Sex Offender Registry.
3. Must be and maintain clearance by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs Staff Exclusion List (SEL) and the New York State Medicaid Exclusion List.
4. Must be and maintain clearance by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) for instances of child abuse and/or neglect.
5. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
