Logistics Clerk

Shift - 6am-6:30pm - Thurs-Sat

Job purpose

As a Lead Clerk, you would be responsible for various office duties, to include backing up other positions. You will work in a cross-functional position that will allow our internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of products and services.

Duties and responsibilities

• Compares identifying information and counts items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, warehouse receipts or other records.
• Verifies method of shipment
• Heavy data entry / typing
• Heavy Excel/Outlook
• Order processing
• Scheduling
• Work with AS400 / WMS (experience with some WMS required)
• Keying orders
• Researching in-bound orders
• Checking in and out drivers. There will be some walking when trucks are being checked.
• Examines incoming shipments, records damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with customer service to rectify and notify customer of damages and shortages.
• Routes correct and checked documentation to proper departments in a timely manner
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• May operate lift truck (if certified) or use hand truck to move shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area when necessary.

• Strong initiative characteristic
• Experience with continuous improvement (i.e. Lean Six Sigma certification, TPM, lean manufacturing, etc) a plus.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to follow all food safety requirements
