Mental Health Clinical Supervisor: New Journeys First Episode Psychosis Program (FEP) - Posting #26206

Annual Salary: $75,000+ (Negotiable)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a clinical supervisor to help launch a New Journeys First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program in our Lynnwood Sea Mar clinic.  New Journeys (NJ) is a voluntary, intensive early intervention program that provides coordinated specialty care for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis. A small interdisciplinary program works with individuals and their natural supports to assist participants in achieving optimal functioning in home, school, work, social and leisure areas of their life. The NJ Team provides individual resilience training/individual training (IRT), education and employment support, family support and education, peer support, case management, and medication management. Treatment can involve multiple contacts per week with the individual and/or natural supports, and can occur in the office, community, or in the individual’s home. Enrollment in New Journeys can last up to two years with the goal that individuals are in the recovery phase of psychosis and confident in their abilities to live a fulfilling, meaningful life upon graduation.  Monthly free training and support is provided by University of Washington.

This position will be responsible for implementation, monitoring operations, and providing clinical supervision, overseeing a team of 5.  The Clinical Supervisor leads regular team clinical meetings, and supervises the other team clinicians. The supervisor is responsible for outreach and community education, develops strong referral sources, and leads the screening process for referrals. They are the primary contact person for participants and families and spearhead efforts to engage participants in treatment. As a dual role, this team member also serves as the family education provider as they use shared decision making with individuals and their families providing education about psychosis and how to manage it, improving communication and problem-solving skills, and encourages a strengths-based, recovery-oriented approach to psychosis.  

The ideal candidate is a fully independently licensed clinician with experience in diagnostic screening/assessment of psychotic disorders, and expertise in working with individuals with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders and their families utilizing evidence-based practices such as multi-family groups and connecting them with an array of family self-help tools and resources. This position is eligible for a $2,500 signing/retention bonus.

Qualifications and/or Requirements:

  • Must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling or social sciences.
  • Have at least 5 years of clinical practice and/or clinical management experience in the field of behavioral health.  
  • Must meet the state clinical supervisor requirement. LMHC, LMFT, LSW, or other related licensure required. 
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or possess a COVID vaccine exemption.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.
