Position – Assistant Project Manager

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Reporting Manager: Operations Manager / Project Manager

Who should apply – Currently seeking an assistant project manager with construction experience in the Mechanical, Electrical, Low Voltage, or Building Automation field. Applicants will work under the Senior Project Manager toward long term goal of Project Manager. Preferred experience should include previous electrical/trade experience managing crews or project management related courses and some project management experience.

Responsibilities -

A key member of the Electronic System Services, Inc. team, the assistant project manager is responsible for assisting in successful turnkey project management that will return the required contribution to the company. Duties and responsibilities include:

o Assisting project manager with scope development and fundamental design for turnkey projects. Development of Sub-Contractor scope of work and related documentation.

o Assisting the project manager with project hardware and software design submittals, installation drawings, review sequence of operations, generate system commissioning and/or validation documentation.

o Attend project construction meetings, internal and external, mobilization, interface with contractors as necessary and job scheduling.

o Assist with the management and scheduling of project installation crews and commissioning technicians.

o Material specification review, ordering, tracking and installation support.

o Assist with tracking, control construction costs against budget to avoid cost overruns.

o Assist with project related and customer required documentation, to include but not limited to; submittals, RFI’s, schedule, safety compliance, commissioning and/or validation.

o Assist with as-built documentation to engineering throughout project lifecycle. Coordinate final turnover package to Owner to include, design documentations, system backup, recover and general use training, warranty and service department turnover.

o Use company Project Management software to maintain the real-time status of projects on a daily basis.

o Maintain the highest quality and customer satisfaction on all projects.

Qualifications -

o Construction Project Management or Foreman level experience with a mechanical, electrical, low voltage, or building automation contractor preferred. Electrical systems installation/supervisory experience will receive priority consideration.

o Strong computer skills required.

o HVAC/Mechanical system checkout, startup and system commissioning preferred.

o Ability to interpret design documentation and construction documents (plans and specs) required.

o Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.

o Experience with time tracking software, project management tracking software etc. a plus.

o Effective communication skills both written and verbal.

o You must have a valid State of Florida driver’s license.

o Must be able to pass background check and submit to pre-employment and random drug screening.
