Trileaf Corporation is a nationwide environmental, architecture, and engineering consulting firm that assists clients with environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, engineering & architectural design, and cultural resources management. Trileaf primarily serves the wireless communications, commercial real estate, financial, and petroleum industries from its headquarters in St. Louis, MO and multiple branch offices throughout the U.S.

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Trileaf is seeking a GIS Specialist to support our Cultural Resources and Environmental teams. This role would be responsible for basic cartographic production, data acquisition and entry, georeferencing client drawings and maps including historic atlases, plat maps, topographic quadrangles and aerials, and digitizing archaeological survey areas, site locations, and architectural resource locations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Reports and coordinates with a Project Manager in the Cultural Resources Group
  • Acquire shapefiles and other data from SHPO databases
  • Produce maps for Environmental and Cultural Resources teams including archaeological survey reports, architectural survey reports, National Register nominations, and environmental review reports
  • Assist with production of technical reports, including archaeological survey reports, architectural survey reports, national register nominations, and environmental review reports
  • Assist with spatial analysis and predictive modeling tasks, as warranted
  • Coordinate and communicate with Project Manager, Archeologists, Architectural Historians, and Environmental Scientists
  • This job requires a detail-oriented person with the ability to work with a variety of people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional project coordinator responsibilities will include weekly project tracking, report assistance, template creating, QA/QC, and

other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with QGIS, Fulcrum, ESRI ArcMap, and/or ArcGIS Pro are required. Proficiency with other programs, such as Fulcrum, is preferred but not required.
  • Archaeological field school or survey experience preferred but not required.
  • Enjoy working independently, while also supporting a team environment to meet deadlines and accomplish project goals.
  • Attention to detail Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Be a diligent, independent worker dedicated to excellence.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Archaeology, Anthropology, Environmental Studies, Historic Preservation or Geographical Information Systems, or Urban Planning or related field
