TherapySouth was founded in July 2006 by Steve Foster, PT, LAT. His vision was that TherapySouth would be a therapist-owned practice, specializing in "hands-on care, close to a patient's home or work". All of our clinics maintain a friendly atmosphere that helps patients feel at home in their surroundings. Having several locations allows patients to conveniently attend physical therapy two to three times per week to improve their daily functions. We know our patients' names when they walk in the door of our clinics!

The Clinic Director is responsible for supervising and directing all activities/services for all areas within the clinic.

Essential Functions:

1. Oversee staff operations, clinical billing and documentation, business planning and budget development.
2. Monitor and collaborate with staff to assess treatment effectiveness and individual patients’ progress.
3. Manage work schedules, performance reviews, progressive disciplinary action and ongoing mentorship of staff.
4. Recruit and interview employees to provide qualified personnel for the clinic.
5. Provide personnel with clinical training and opportunities for continuous development.
6. Monitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards.
7. Train new employees and conduct monthly staff meetings.
8. Market the clinic and build/maintain relationships with referring physicians a minimum of 4 contacts a week.
9. Ensure clinicians are providing evidence-based clinical interventions while maintaining productivity.
10. Continuously communicate and monitor if the metrics are being met by the clinic as a whole as well as each individual staff member.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree in an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• A current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Duties require extensive standing and walking.
• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
