What is a physical therapy clinic?

A physical therapy clinic is a healthcare facility specializing in the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of physical impairments, disabilities, and pain. Licensed physical therapists and their assistants work with patients to improve movement, restore function, and reduce discomfort caused by injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Clinics offer personalized treatment plans that can include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, education, and modalities like heat or cold therapy. The goal is to help individuals regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

What are some common challenges physical therapists face when working in a clinic setting?

Physical therapists in a clinic often encounter challenges such as managing a high patient caseload while maintaining individualized care, staying up-to-date with documentation requirements, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. Balancing administrative duties with hands-on therapy can also be demanding. Additionally, therapists may need to adapt quickly to new treatment protocols or technologies and ensure effective communication with both patients and team members to optimize recovery outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a physical therapy clinic, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Physical Therapy Clinic, you need a solid understanding of anatomy, therapeutic exercise, and rehabilitation, typically supported by a degree in physical therapy and relevant licensure. Familiarity with clinical documentation software, therapeutic modalities, and patient management systems is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and effective communication help build patient trust and foster collaborative relationships with healthcare teams. These skills and qualities are vital for delivering personalized care, optimizing patient outcomes, and maintaining smooth clinic operations.

Job description

It's time for A New Approach to Physical Therapy...Patient care focused on Health, Wellness, and Prevention!

Tired of seeing 70 - 80 people per week?

Do you not have time to treat each individual to the best of your ability because you have 2 - 3 patients at a time?

Are you suffering from Burnout?

Do you crave a culture that values you both professionally and personally?

BEST Physical Therapy is looking for a motivated individual seeking the next phase of their career. A unique opportunity to join a clinic and actually share in the profits. We believe that by collaborating with other provider specialties and providing services at a gym, the Physical Therapist can easily communicate with other health professionals to ensure everyone is on the same page to help the patient achieve their goals while continuing the activities they love.

We are a private, physical therapist owned company that treats patients on a 1 on 1 basis; we are also in-network with all insurances.

Don't be mislead by other companies; Sign-on bonuses are designed to lock you in — often for a reason. Many other workplaces struggle with turnover and burnout, lack of support, or growth leading to turnover. At BEST, we invest in you - instead of quick fixes: we provide mentorship, career development, a culture where PTs thrive, and a robust environment where you control your success.

Patient quality of care is our number concern. This is an opportunity for financial security and growth while also allowing for schedule flexibility, something you won't find in a regular job.

  • We provide 1-on-1 treatments focusing on outpatient musculoskeletal injuries and sports performance as well as Preventative Care and Maintenance.
  • We accept all insurances, but have a pay for service component as well.
  • This is a very active population, and the gym facilities are a very stimulating environment with state of the art equipment.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Excellence:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain strong clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction
  • Ensure timely, compliant documentation

Clinic Leadership & Culture:

  • Lead day-to-day clinic operations
  • Foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture
  • Mentor and develop clinicians and support staff
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Model BEST’s values and integrated care philosophy

Growth & Business Development:

  • Drive clinic growth through community engagement, referral relationships, and local partnerships
  • Collaborate with leadership on marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and manage clinic KPIs (visits, retention, case management, payer mix, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within PT, Nutrition, and Behavioral Health

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure scheduling efficiency while protecting 1-on-1 care standards
  • Manage clinic performance metrics and profitability
  • Oversee quality assurance and patient experience
  • Partner with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure
  • Minimum 2+ years clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)
  • Strong orthopedic and musculoskeletal clinical skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to drive growth
  • Experience tracking and managing performance metrics preferred
  • Excellent communication, mentorship, and organizational skills
  • Certifications such as dry needling, cupping, BFR, or other manual therapy specialties are a plus.

Benefits:

  • Health insurance available on start date of employment!
  • 401(k) with matching
  • Generous paid time off plus 6 major Holidays
  • Mental health days
  • Continuing education allowance and continuing education days
  • Student loan reimbursement
  • License reimbursement
  • Gym membership
  • Profit sharing of the clinic
  • Flexible schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $125,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
