Psychiatrist - Part-Time - Somerset/Bedford

Compensation: Pays up to $280/hr!

Location: Somerset, PA / Bedford, PA

Position Overview:

Focused Behavioral Staffing Group is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team covering Somerset and Bedford counties in Western Pennsylvania. This team specializes in supporting transition-age youth, particularly those aged 16 to 24.

Qualifications:

• Board eligible or board certified Psychiatrist in the State of Pennsylvania
• Experience providing treatment to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Act 33 and 44 clearances required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments, overseeing treatment.
• Provide clinical supervision, education, and team training, including medication supervision and policy adherence.
• Perform psychiatric assessments, therapeutic sessions (individual, group, family), and educational interventions.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications, regularly evaluating efficacy and side effects while educating clients.
• Collaborate with registered nurses, assess clients' physical health, make referrals, and coordinate medical treatments with psychiatric care.
• Offer ongoing support, counseling, and education to team members and clients' family members.
• Provide crisis assessment and management during work hours and off-site, serving as on-call backup for emergencies.
