Who Are We:

The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a leader in New Orleans early childhood education, a fun-filled summer day camp, and so much more. It is a place for adults to take an exercise class, an art class, or a dance class. A place for children and teens to experience learning through enrichment classes, sports leagues, family activities, and summer camps. The JCC is built on Jewish values but is welcome to everyone.

The mission of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center is to promote and ensure the well-being of our Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a center where all can enjoy, learn, experience, and share in quality activities in a Jewish environment.

The Zumba Instructor will conduct safe and effective Zumba classes.  Instructor will show professionalism in appearance, and music lyrics. Essentials for this position require designing creative class routines, motivating the class participants, and demonstrating exercise modifications.  Successful candidates must demonstrate an outgoing and engaging personality.

What You'll Do:

• Must have experience working in a group setting.
• Able to create comprehensive training programs built around clients' individual needs and goals.
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Maintains logs of class attendance for classes taught.
• Teaches classes in a fun, safe, and challenging manner. Classes must be designed to provide an effective exercise program in an entertaining manner.
• Inspects the studio to ensure the lighting, temperature, sound system, and equipment are all in top working condition. Reports problems and takes appropriate action.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.

What You'll Bring:

• At least one year of experience teaching Zumba Group Fitness sessions.
• Zumba certification by a nationally recognized organization is required.
• Current CPR certification and basic first aid training is required.
