Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice Overnight Shift

Location: Broward County, Florida

Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join our hospice team in Broward County. This position entails providing exceptional end-of-life care to patients during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering personalized care with empathy and dignity.

Responsibilities:

1. Administer skilled nursing care to hospice patients during overnight shifts.

2. Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions to manage symptoms and promote comfort.

3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

4. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding end-of-life care and symptom management.

5. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

6. Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

8. Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to hospice care.

Requirements:

1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.

2. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.

3. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.

4. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

8. Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
