Tax/Audit Staff Accountant

Local firm looking for experienced accountant at the staff level to service needs in our write-up, audit and tax departments. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Client write-up work/bookkeeping services using Quick Books
• Preparation of weekly payrolls
• Compliance reporting for payroll, sales tax, and annual 1099s
• Individual/Corporate/Partnership income tax preparation
• Attest fieldwork

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

• Bachelors Degree or comparable business experience
• Candidate must be an effective communicator with the ability to pursue self-development and excel within our team approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (including QBO)
• Prior experience with paperless workpaper system beneficial
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to successfully multi-task

Salary - based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

•  Monday to Friday
• Overtime – Primarily January through April
• Weekends as needed (January through April)
• We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPA (Preferred)
