Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Personal Banker I, who is an experienced advisor in establishing, developing, and retaining relationships with members to help meet their financial goals. The right candidate will have the ability to develop and retain financial relationships with members to help attain department goals.

What You Will Do:

• The Personal Banker I role is a developmental role and is responsible for learning the processes to establishing, developing, and retaining deep financial relationships with members, to help meet and exceed member and credit union goals.
• Assumes responsibility for performing a broad variety of Teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, sells cashier's checks with a high degree of accuracy in accordance with CU's policies and procedures, including robbery procedures.
• Promotes, educates, and refers all credit union financial products and services to members in the community, based on their needs, as determined from member interviews.
• Strong "People" skills, comfortable multi-tasking, ability to work independently AND as a member of a team, capable in a relationship focused sales environment.
• Balance daily transactions and verify that cash totals are correct.
• Accurately count cash, check and package coins and currency.
• Responsible for completing and balancing each day's transactions and verifying all totals to computer generated balance sheet.
• Perform other duties as deemed reasonable.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For :

• High School degree or equivalent
• Track record of outstanding member service
• Banking experience preferred
• Cash handling experience a plus
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in cashiering and customer service

Pay Grade Info :

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $18 - $21 hourly.
