Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician

A distribution company in North Lima is looking for a full-time Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding fabrication including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Must be proficient with MIG, TIG, Stick, cutting torches, grinders, drills, and working with metal, pipe, and flat iron
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery including pumps, gearboxes, augers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, filling machines and sealers
• Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single phase circuitry
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Replace or repair defective equipment and parts
• Perform minor building repair and upkeep
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
• Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery
• Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to be fit tested and don a mask
• Reliable presence and promptness on premises
• Ability to look up and order parts needed to fix equipment
• Project management including task sequencing, resource management, scheduling
• Specialty Skills such as welding, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
• Researching information Decision-making and problem-solving
• Performing general physical activities, handling and moving objects
• Able to work well with other and organize own activities
• Complete all jobs with a sense of urgency and cooperation with others
• Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times

Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of High school diploma or GED
• Certified Forklift operation
• Certified Welder preferred
• Fabrication experience preferred

Shift: Monday - Thursday  6am - 6pm

Pay Rate: $25+ based on experience/certifications
