Position Overview:

Courtesy Volvo, a Courtesy Automotive Group dealership, is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure their optimal safety and performance, and gaining hands-on experience with various automotive systems and components. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following below, as well as other responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians in diagnosing issues with vehicles.
• Learn to use diagnostic equipment and software to identify problems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Assist in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicle components.
• Learn to interpret technical manuals and schematics to understand vehicle systems.
• Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
• Follow safety protocols and guidance to ensure personal and team safety.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress.
• Attend training sessions and classes to enhance automotive knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new challenges in the automotive field.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in or completed a vocational automotive technology program preferred.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in automotive repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and take directions from experienced technicians.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to advancing in the automotive field.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
