Parry Lab’s flagship Stellar Relay™ product is a modular, tactical-cloud family of systems targeted for small footprint edge deployment enabling rapid software delivery of mission critical capabilities as needed to implement Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2). Developed and supported by Parry Labs, Stellar Relay is deployed at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7-9 on SOCOM, Army, Air Force and new DARPA platforms including the MQ-1C Grey Eagle, Grey Eagle Miniature Mission Interface (GEMMI) Ground Control Station, MQ-9 Predator, MQ-9B SeaGuardian, U-28 Draco, and UH-60A BlackHawk. Stellar Relay provides customers with hardware and software solutions that securely streamline the ability to collect, analyze, and share information at the speed of relevance. As a small footprint communications hub and compute host based on relevant open standards, Stellar Relay is easy to integrate and equips platforms with a low-cost solution to continuously upgrade capabilities by hosting advanced applications and technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), vision-based navigation, and other mission critical technologies.

 

Parry Labs offers a dynamic engineering environment integrating Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and DevSecOps into a common software factory ecosystem enabling delivery of the right capability at the speed of relevance.  We are starting a Dojo-based immersive learning environment to upskill or workforce in the flow of work and cultivate high-performing teams.  We need IT personnel who are excited to support these advanced concepts for round-trip engineering and continual improvement.  As an IT engineer at Parry Labs, you will make a direct impact to our engineering environment, our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, and the entire digital ecosystem.  You will have access to a strong executive team with leadership stemming from General Atomics, Northrop Grumman, Palantir and more who will help you and encourage you to execute your career trajectory in the path that fits you best.


JOB PURPOSE

This role is an Information Technology (IT) Professional who is part of the IT team supporting the entire Parry Labs workforce by developing, maintaining, and supporting a digital experience that minimizes friction in the workflow. The IT team is service-oriented in support of the Parry Labs workforce ensuring the corporate digital experience is secure, efficient and allows the workforce to excel at each of their jobs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements
  • Executes backup, security, and user help systems
  • Remains current on advances in technology
  • Provides technical support to users
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Manages inventory & deployment of IT hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Create & document technical procedures and user guides
  • Installation of new software, system upgrades, and patches
  • Orchestrate and manage data backups and restoration procedures
  • Perform server administration tasks including user/group administration, print services, research event log warnings and errors


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a key member of the Software Factory support team, the IT engineer allocates and maintains the Software Factory hosting infrastructure (cloud and on-prem) and supports the installation, licensing, and maintenance of tooling for Requirements, MBSE, and DevSecOps used in the Software Factory pipeline


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SharePoint a huge plus!
  • Experience with collaboration tool suites (e.g., Miro)
  • Experience with purchase, setup, installation, and maintenance of equipment across the digital environment (e.g., laptops, servers, iPads, mobile phones, VTC, digital whiteboards, networking)
  • Experience with purchase, setup, and maintenance of cloud resources including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint)
  • Existing Top Secret or Secret clearance


REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or another related STEM field (will consider years of related experience in lieu of degree)
  • 1-5 years’ experience in IT
  • Understanding of CIS principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures
  • Multi-tasking aptitude
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work
  • Service-oriented mindset and attitude
  • Proactive problem solver
  • A team player!
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel 5-10% (more travel may be needed for candidates who are not in Huntsville, AL)
