Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies, LLC is seeking a Communications / Public Relations Specialist to provide support in order to make the organization's presence known.

Note: This role is contingent upon proposal award and slated to begin in approximately June of 2024

Duties/ Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Identify opportunities to make our organization's presence known. Analyze SharePoint website pages and recommend strategies for improving content and messaging.
  • Liaise with other departments, offices, stakeholders, collaborative partners to nurture relationships and facilitate discussions. Present, informally, and formally, information to clients, senior leadership, stakeholders, users.
  • Develop a communication engagement program that incorporates FFRDC and PMO marketing, training/workshops/education, and outreach.
  • Work with S&T's Communications and Outreach Division (COD) to develop and implement targeted content strategies for creating, managing, and delivering interactive content and responsive digital designs to attract new users.
  • Support the development of communication strategies, plans, campaigns, and outreach.
  • Work to develop the FFRDC PMO virtual communications platform and other technological tools in support of internal and external stakeholder communications.
  • Develop original design and production of visual presentations, including draft briefings, posters, newsletters, websites, and other communications devices, in collaboration with the editor, subject matter experts, and clients, and adapting products based upon feedback from strategic leaders.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.
  • Must possess knowledge in working within Adobe Creative Suite (or similar) and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess strong ability to develop reports and briefing materials in various formats with minimal direction from federal staff.
  • Demonstrated outstanding written communication and presentation skills; organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, flexibility, and adaptability in adjusting material development quickly and effectively.
  • Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with government and contractor personnel.
  • Capacity to handle pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and adaptability to learn quickly and take on additional tasks as required.

Nice to Haves
  • DHS/S&T experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience working with PMO staff.
  • Experience in preparing visual presentations, including draft briefings, posters, newsletters, websites, and other communications devices.
  • Experience developing communication engagement programs integrating marketing, training/workshops/education, and outreach.
  • Coordination skills to facilitate timely communication and outreach efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Public speaking skills for presenting information both informally and formally to clients, senior leadership, stakeholders, and users.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to nurture relationships and facilitate discussions with other departments, offices, stakeholders, and collaborative partners.
  • Experience developing interactive content and digital designs.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate SharePoint and other website pages and propose content and messaging improvements.
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation according to government standards.
  • Federal meeting and event planning experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing outreach-based activities and developing content for internal or external presentation or distribution.
    • Requires federal meeting and event planning experience and the ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college or university.

Travel Requirement:
  • Quarterly CONUS and OCONUS travel anticipated. Local travel is also anticipated to support this task order and is defined in accordance with federal travel regulations.
    • Representative destinations include FFRDC PMO conferences, workshops, off-site meetings, speaking engagements, and travel to other research facilities.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
